An event acknowledging inspirational achievements by NGOs and individuals throughout the city of East London, South Africa. The Inspiration Awards was birthed out of a desire to hear more about the good endeavours of changemakers in a society dominated by bad news.
Launched in 2012, when 48 leaders gathered to listen to twelve inspirational stories, R100 000 was given away by six partners to further the work of these individuals and NGO’s. Now The Inspiration Awards seeks to mobilise such a community of partners annualy, each operating in their unique giftings, to empower social impact organisations and individuals making a positive difference in their communities and to showcase their stories to inspire the city.

All Social impact organisations and individuals in most regions of the Eastern Cape are invited to enter your inspirational story on how you are trying to make a difference within your community.
Four finalists will be selected, from all qualifying applications, by a panel of independent judges to present their Inspirational Stories in front of between 350-450 attendees at the Inspiration Awards. In addition each finalist will receive a valuable cash award of between R20k - R40k, determined by the generosity of all our partners and sponsors, and a professional video showcasing their organization.
The most inspirational story, voted for by the attendees of the Awards on the morning of the event, will receive additional prizes based on the net proceeds of ticket sales for the breakfast. We encourage leaders from all sectors of society to get involved.
